Officials say no batteries were in a smoke detector at a home in Conyers that was damaged in a fire that killed four children and left a woman badly burned.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and authorities say the smoke detector was on the first floor of the home although the fire originated on the second floor.
Associates at the Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home say they are arranging free services for 8-month-old Deon Glass, 3-year-old Armoni Roberts, 7-year-old Dar-Shawn Glass and 9-year-old Ah-Dariya Glass. The tentative date for the service is Jan. 19.
The fire left their mother, Reeba Glass, with second-and third-degree burns throughout her body.
Glass, whose age was unclear Thursday, is hospitalized in serious condition at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
