Alabama Ranks Middle For Income Inequality

According to a new report, Alabama ranks in the middle when it comes to income inequality.

According to the report by the "economic analysis and research network," the state's top earners had an average income of $665,000 in 2011.

Earners in the bottom 99 percent averaged less than $35,000.

According to the report, from 1979 to 2011, the bottom earners' income grew by 5 and a half percent, while incomes for the top one-percent grew by more than 92 percent.
