BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- The FBI says an Alabama teen and a six-week-old baby were among the victims who were recovered in a recent nationwide prostitution sting.
Officials say authorities in Birmingham and Huntsville joined the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force in the Innocence Lost National Initiative.
According to the FBI's Birmingham field office, the investigation involved undercover agents making contact with victims who were being prostituted in 106 cities across the country.
Officials say the operation ended Sunday and victims were offered housing, counseling, medical assistance and more from the FBI's Victim Witness Assistance Program.
