Ala. Man Kills Friend in Meth Dispute

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- The sheriff of Mobile County says an argument over cooking meth caused an Alabama man to shoot and kill his friend.

Reports say 27-year-old Bryan Gibson has been arrested and jailed on murder charges. He's accused of killing 38-year-old Michael Blue Watson, whose body was found
earlier this month by a man looking for scrap metal in the woods.

Sheriff Sam Cochran says investigators obtained statements from people who say they heard Gibson confess to the slaying. He says Gibson had the drug pseudoephrine and other meth-making materials when he was arrested Thursday.

As he was being led to the jail in handcuffs, Gibson denied killing his friend of three years. He said: "I'm not a murderer. I'm not a violent person like that."
