MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Repairs to an Alabama bridge damaged when two semi-trailers crashed may take until mid-July.
State transportation officials say crews will install a temporary barrier rail on the south side of the General W.K. Wilson Jr. Bridge during the week of June 16. Reports say that trucks wider than 12 feet will have to use detours while crews do the repairs.
The May 22 crash between a semi-trailer carrying petroleum and another semi caused a large fire, damaging about 250 feet of the bridge deck.
