OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) -- An east Alabama woman is being charged in the death of her husband, a National Guardsman who died in an apparent motorcycle wreck in July.
Authorities say 26-year-old Tiffany Danielle Andrews of Smiths is accused of manslaughter and menacing in the death of 33-year-old Michael James Andrews.
Andrews died after his motorcycle was found crashed in Lee County on July 1.
A statement from the sheriff's department says evidence shows Tiffany Andrews was involved, but it doesn't explain how. The statement does say the woman was at the scene and may have flagged down a passing driver.
Court records show the woman previously was charged with domestic violence after a fight with her husband, but the charges were thrown out after he didn't sign a warrant.
