Absentee Primary Election Voters Can Start Applying for Ballots Next Week

By  |

Alabama's Primary Election is coming up on June 3rd.

From Monday April, 21st up until May, 29th absentee voters can fill out applications to request a ballot.

You can fill out an application at the Houston County Courthouse or by mail.

There are a few things you need to know if you plan on applying for an absentee ballot.

Since it's a primary election you must mark which election you want a ballot for and put your party preference on your application.

You will also have to state your reason for voting absentee on the application.

Alabama's new voter I.D. legislation requires voters to have a photo I.D.

If you don't have one yet, you can go to the Board of Registrars Office or there will be a mobile unit with the Secretary of State's Office at the Cottonwood Town Hall on April 24th.
