FORT RUCKER -- For Army aviators, their top priority is the support of soldiers on the ground.
A priority that has not changed since the early 1900s.
"Our sacred trust with them is to provide them with the best aviation that we can provide them," Deputy Chief of Staff for USAACE Lt. Col. Demetri Nicholson said.
Every Army aviation career is started at Fort Rucker. Each year, more than 1,000 aviators are trained on post, and in the course of their careers they can expect to return home to Fort Rucker three times.
