The airport in Abbeville could soon see a few changes thanks to a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Today the mayor signed the grant acceptance papers to authorize the upgrade.
The FAA awarded the city with money to help pay for engineering fees associated with environmental assessments and airport justification at the municipal airport.
This time last year, a similar grant helped paid for the lighting and markings to be restored on the runway.
