Only a few can say they are one of the strongest women in the world, well one Wiregrass woman can.

Donna Dowd, a 49 year-old woman who trains at CrossFit Embrace will be leaving for California this weekend to compete at the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games. Dowd is currently ranked 18th in the world for her age division. The Reebok CrossFit Games is a grueling test that includes the world's toughest athletes.

"It's every CrossFitter's dream, the journey has been a lot of fun. I would say if I had to think about it, it's hard to even visualize that this is happening. But I saw every step of the way this past spring when I was competing in the open and in the master's qualifier," said Dowd.

One interesting fact about Dowd, she is a mother of 10 children and a grandmother to two others.
