OZARK -- Construction crews in Ozark are working to finish five new restaurants, a car dealership and a travel center within a year.

Along Highway 231, a Love's Travel Stop with an Arby's Restaurant inside will open in October.

Mayor Billy Blackwell said the newly remodeled McDonald's and Hardee's will open by the end of July, and the Johnny's Tappas Restaurant will welcome visitors in the Downtown area this summer.

Blackwell said it has been a test to stay committed to the economic growth, but it is something the entire community can take pride in.

"This gives the people in Ozark some hope that the economy is getting better," Mayor Blackwell said. "They feel good about our community, it gives them some confidence in ourselves and that's the main thing."

The Ozark location of Zaxby's will open along Highway 231 on Monday, June 23rd

If a person is looking for a new vehicle, the new Gilland's Ford location along 231 is set to open by the first of next year.
