PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) - Tired of the violence and street graffiti, the Bay County Florida Sheriff's Office is setting up a new unit to combat gang activity.

ROGUE, which stands for Repeat Offenders Gang Unit Enforcement, will target the roughly 300 documented members in 38 gangs in the county.

In Panama City, Sheriff Frank McKeithen says residents shouldn't be afraid to leave their homes anymore. He has a message for gang members: get off the streets or go to jail.

The unit, which will be unveiled tomorrow, will conduct both overt and covert operations.
