The Dothan City Commission's investigation into allegations of wrongdoing in the Dothan Police Department will take a while longer.
Interim City Manager Jerry Corbin was authorized to conduct the investigation two weeks ago. A report was due Tuesday.
The probe is focusing on two areas.
Corbin is checking allegations that Police Chief John White ordered credit histories and criminal background checks on some city officials.
Corbin also is trying to find out who was sending unauthorized messages on the city's paging system a few weeks ago.
Commissioners gave Corbin another month to get the job done.
Commissioners have also reserved the right to explore other allegations as needed.
