A Marianna teenager is being held at a juvenile detention center in Panama City.
The 16-year-old has reportedly confessed to a recent string of auto thefts in Jackson County.
Authorities say the teenager mostly targeted cars at Marianna automobile dealerships and also, unlocked cars were stolen off the street.
In two cases, he allegedly drove the vehicles through a fence.
Marianna police used a surveillance camera late last week to catch the thief red handed.
In addition to the arrest of the 16-year-old, Chief Roberts says he believes the suspect was working with one or two other juveniles.
