A Louisiana man is now jailed and accused in the abduction and sexual battery of a 16-year-old Panama City Beach girl.
Ernie Paul Dugas was picked up Thursday in Acadia Parish, Louisiana.
Police in Texas believe Dugas stole a pickup truck at an accident scene leaving behind the car used in last Saturday's abduction.
Dugas is wanted for allegedly abducting a girl last Saturday morning from her aunt's mobile home in Panama City Beach. The girl says Dugas also sexually abused her. The girl was rescued Saturday night from a Texas Tourist Center rest stop on Interstate-10 near Orange.
