LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. (AP) - A teenager was bitten by a shark in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, and the shark wouldn't let go.
Authorities received a 911 call just before four o'clock Thursday afternoon. When rescue officials arrived they found 14-year-old Brandon Chapman with the shark still attached to his abdomen.
Rescue workers eventually got the shark to release his grip.
Chapman was treated for injuries, but they weren't life-threatening and he's been released from the hospital.
The shark is described as a nurse shark, about three to four feet long.
