An assistant high school football coach in the Wiregrass is facing serious felony charges in North Central Florida. Officials say the charges against Guy Bubba Nall date back to 2000.
Since the charges all stem from the Gainesville, Florida area, Enterprise authorities say it's their case, but Nall will not be back at Enterprise High School until this matter is resolved.
The Levy County Florida Sheriff's Department has charged Guy Bubba Nall with capital sexual battery on a victim under 12-years-old, along with three-counts of sexual battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 18.
If convicted, Nall could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
He has been an Enterprise High School assistant football coach since 2005. Before that, he spent several years as a coach at schools in North Central Florida.
Capt. Mike Lolley with the Enterprise Police Dept. said, "They alerted us, a common courtesy in law enforcement since Nall works in Enterprise. But, we have no information on the investigation in the Gainesville area."
Authorities in Florida say they received information that Nall would be in Levy County last Friday, and made the arrest. There, they would not elaborate if there were more than one alleged victim.
In a short, prepared statement by Enterprise City School Superintendent Dr. Jim Reese, he says Mr. Nall has been placed under administrative leave with pay following the outcome of the investigation.
Enterprise Police along with Florida authorities say they have no information of Nall committing any crimes on school property.
Capt. Lolley concluded, "We haven't received any complaints from any students at any Enterprise School concerning improper behavior from Mr. Nall, nothing at all in the Enterprise area."
Nall has been released from the Levy County Jail under a $175,000 dollar bond.
There no word on his next court appearance in Florida.
