EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AP) - An Air Force officer and an airman are recovering from injuries after the helicopter they were aboard crashed during a training mission at Eglin Air Force Base.
The injuries suffered by Colonel William Nelson and Airman 1st Class Bradley Jordan were described as non-life-threatening.
Five others on the MH-53 Pave Low helicopter were reported unhurt, in the crash near Duke Field at about 11:45 last night.
Nelson and Jordan were transferred to Pensacola hospitals. The military says no one on the ground was hurt.
A board of officers will investigate.
