A drive-by shooting in one Wiregrass town has left one man wounded and the police are still looking for the shooter.

The incident happened in Hartford Tuesday night after 11 p.m. at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Kirkland Street.

Police say a green Ford Escort approached a group of men at the intersection. Someone in the car pulled out a .32 caliber revolver and began firing from the window.

One bullet struck Jeff Anderson of Daleville. Anderson was treated and released from an area hospital.

Neighbors believe it's part of an on-going gang battle between young men in surrounding cities.

Authorities are looking for the suspect's 1994 green Escort.

Anyone with information about the case should contact their nearest law enforcement agency.
