Good news from Northview High School concerning their graduation exam results.
Last year the state cited Northview as having too few students in attendance of the graduation exam.
The school was just notified that the wrong numbers were counted by the state last year and in fact Northview met the requirements.
Northview is trying to improve in a number of other areas to give their students a better chance of graduating.
“We are specifically looking this year at graduation rate, that's based on drop outs so we have excellent programs in place to make sure we develop strong relationships with kids starting in the ninth grade,” said Principal Ron Snell of Northview High School.
Northview has already started several programs to help students who aren't meeting graduation exam requirements.
They are also working to create stronger student-teacher bonds to decrease the number of students who drop out.
