A disciplinary hearing was held for a corrections officer at the Houston County Jail, but Sheriff Lamar Glover is withholding judgment for now.
Eight-jail employees were accused of wrongdoing a last week after a six-week investigation.
The allegations ranged from sexual misconduct to allowing cigarettes to be smuggled into the jail.
As of Friday morning, seven of the workers involved in the scandal had resigned.
A hearing on Friday was held to allow the remaining employee to tell his side of the story.
Sheriff Glover says he will review the case and decide later if any disciplinary action will be taken.
