The shooting deaths of two people in the small Covington County town of Gantt appear to be a case of murder and suicide.
The bodies of 28-year-old Sterling Andrew Ward and 44-year-old Bette Darlene Johnson were discovered in a home on Chance Avenue in Gantt late yesterday afternoon.
Autopsies were performed Thursday.
Investigators say evidence indicates that ward shot Johnson before turning the gun on himself.
A motive for the shootings has not been released.
