An unidentified body found Southeast of Freeport has been ruled a homicide.
Monday a local resident noticed suspicious animal activity in a wooded area.
The victim is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20’s, approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing around 135-145 lbs with closely shaven brown hair with no facial hair.
There was no identification on the body and authorities say the remains were too decomposed to identify at the scene.
An autopsy revealed the man died from a gunshot wound. Police say he died between the Aug. 12 and Aug. 14.
