ELBA, Ala. (AP) - A school guidance counselor employed by Elba City Schools was reassigned to other duties following her arrest for violating a state liquor law.
Agents with the Alcohol Beverage Control Board arrested 48 year old Lynn Baker on August 10th, charging her with holding an open party. Authorities alleged that Baker allowed a juvenile to drink alcohol at a party she hosted in her home.
Lt. Jean Turner said officers acted after receiving an anonymous tip about the party. He said a 17-year-old was detained during a traffic stop and Baker's residence was raided.
The charge against Baker is a misdemeanor. She was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
