PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) - A man who was on Lee County's 10 most-wanted list was arrested today for the slaying of a Fort Myers man.
Carlos Zavala was charged with first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a firearm.
Crime Stoppers placed Zavala on Lee County's 10 most-wanted list in July.
Authorities believe Zavala was involved in the fatal shooting of Epimenio Leal in April. Leal was killed near his home during a botched robbery.
Zavala was apprehended after investigators received an anonymous tip.
Other suspects in the case were previously arrested.
He was being held without bond in the Bay County jail and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, according to jail records.
