The new building being built at Saint Columba had a major facelift.
The rising of the steeple onto the church was a big event and many people came from all over town to witness it.
The steeple itself was shipped across the country from Utah, and is now sitting atop the new church building which is to be completed later this year.
"It certainly will offer us more space for worship and will allow us to have probably fewer celebrations of the Eucharist on the weekend so that more people can come to together in the one location and develop some community with each other," said Father Gallagher.
Construction workers at the site expect the church to be fully complete by the end of November.
