Charleston, South Carolina and Mobile, Alabama, are apparently in the running for 600 jobs in a $300 million complex planned by a Boeing supplier.
Vought Aircraft Industries of Dallas is looking for a location for a planned two-plant complex to make fuselage sections for Boeing's new 7-E-7 Dreamliner.
The Birmingham News reports Vought is looking at Mobile and Charleston.
Consultant Ed McCallum told a South Carolina newspaper last week he's unsure when Vought will make a decision, but hopes it could be within one month.
He declined further comment.
A Vought spokeswoman declined comment on a list of location candidates.
