A 3D flat-screen could be coming to a computer near you, for a price.
Sharp Systems of America has introduced a new flat-screen computer display that delivers 3D images.
The 15-inch LCD display will go for almost $1,500.
The device doesn't require the user to put on special glasses.
A special layer allows users to switch between 2D and 3D modes. This helps create 3D illusions regardless of whether images were created in 3D.
Analysts say it's the first 3D screen for consumers. Previously, the technology was produced for the medical and scientific industries.
