Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for the man accused of killing six members of his girlfriend's family in Crenshaw County.
District Attorney John Andrews says he will also oppose any bond
for 22-year-old Westley DeVone Harris.
Harris is charged with six counts of capital murder. He has been kept under a suicide watch in the Lowndes County Jail since surrendering to authorities last Thursday.
There were also indications that the killings likely occurred last Monday instead of Tuesday.
Andalusia Police Chief Wilburn Williams Junior says Harris and his girlfriend, Janice Ball, went to a friend's house in nearby Covington County late last Monday night with their 1-1/2-year-old daughter.
Williams says Harris went to a local business early Tuesday morning and sold another friend three shotguns.
He said it wasn't clear if any of the guns were used in the murders.
