Many Alabama farmers are welcoming some much needed rainfall, but some parts of the state are still quite dry, leaving some growers looking at a not-so-good harvest.

The Alabama Agricultural Statistics Service says this year's cotton, hay, peanuts and soybean yield will be lower than in 2001. Corn production should be up, but that's partly because more acres of corn were planted.
