Florida deputies will soon be bringing a 16-year-old Panama City girl back home to her family.

The girl is now in the custody of police in Orange, Texas.

Criminal Investigator David Baldwin of the Bay County Sheriff's office says Amber Lee Davis was found at a rest stop near the Louisiana border after being kidnapped from her North Florida home.

Davis says the man who kidnapped her let her use her cell phone to call a relative. That relative then contacted authorities.

Baldwin says the girl wasn't injured in the 14-hour ordeal, but there has been some sexual battery.

Police have charged 30-year-old Ernie Paul Dugas with her kidnapping.

According to authorities, the girl opened the door for a stranger early Saturday morning. The man then grabbed her and forced her in his car.
