Coffee Springs Robbery

One Wiregrass town official says it's like stealing from your own family.

Coffee Springs Mayor Luther Nichols is asking for help from the public.

About a week-ago, someone broke into the Coffee Springs Volunteer Fire Department and around $200 was taken from the office.

In addition, the suspect busted into an outside soft drink machine and took about $50 in coins.

Mayor Nichols says the town has only limited funds, and this break-in hurts the close-knit community.

Anyone with information on the Aug. 4 break-in at the Coffee Springs Volunteer Fire Department should contact the Geneva County Sheriff's Office at 684-5660.
