The controversy over who is responsible for relocating waterlines from underneath a road in central Coffee County continues.
The county and the city of New Brockton can't seem to agree on the issue.
The matter came up once again during a regularly scheduled meeting Monday of the Coffee County Commission.
New Brockton Mayor Charles Cole says there's been a lack of communication from the beginning.
Mayor Cole says the city realizes that the lines have to be moved before County Road 517 can be widened and paved. But, the town simply doesn't have the necessary funds to perform the work.
Mayor Cole along with several county officials will sit down this week and try to come up with a funding solution before the paving project gets underway.
