Buckle up; Alabama state troopers and other law enforcement agencies will be out in force during the Labor Day weekend.
The Department of Public Safety's "Click It or Ticket" campaign began Monday and continues through Sept. 8.
Troopers estimate that 13 people may die in traffic accidents over the Labor Day holiday. Last year 10 traffic deaths were recorded in Alabama during the 78-hour holiday period.
At least five of the deaths were alcohol-related -- three of the crash victims were not wearing seat belts.
Law officers also said they will target drunk drivers and motorists who violate speed limits and other traffic laws.
