A Houston County man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer.
Houston County Sheriff's investigators say 21-year-old Colby Lee Edmondson of Cottonwood has confessed to the crime.
On at least two occasions this week, Edmondson allegedly approached drivers in Houston County and identified him as a Cottonwood police officer.
Impersonating a police officer is a class "C" felony. It carries a penalty of one to five-years in prison.
Edmondson was released from jail yesterday on a $1,000 bond.
