War on Drugs Funding

Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward is making his plea for more money to help fight the war on drugs.

Without financial help from at least three cities in the county, Sheriff Ward says he may lose federal funding for his drug task force.

Ward says the task force took part in breaking-up more than 160-meth labs in Geneva County last year.

The Geneva City Council unanimously voted to contribute $5,000 for the task force.

The Hartford City Council will soon make a decision on the sheriff's funding request.
