The Washington County Drug Task Force consisting of the Chipley Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple arrests as narcotics investigations that have spanned several months have concluded.
The investigation included the sell of marijuana, crack cocaine and controlled substances as well as the manufacturing of cocaine and illegal possession of firearms.
“During this roundup we were able to extend our reach not only to local drug dealers, but had the unique opportunity to apprehend a suspect for the manufacturing of crack cocaine” states Chief Crews. “Anytime we have the opportunity to stop someone responsible for producing crack cocaine in our community, we have had a successful day.”

“The numbers tell a very small part of a much larger story of success as a result of this recent roundup” states Sheriff Haddock. “We were able to not only apprehend suspects who were dealing in trafficking amounts of illegal drugs, we were also able to diffuse an active methamphetamine lab that was within a few feet of a 50lb bag of ammonia nitrate creating the potential for a life threatening explosion within close proximity to several residences.”
