A life insurance salesman says he sold Scott and Laci Peterson $250,000 life insurance policies in 2001.
Brian Ullrich testified the couple's policies were made out to each other. Ullrich said it was he, not Scott Peterson, who recommended the policies, although he suggested a lower benefit. But Ullrich says Laci Peterson pushed for the $250,000 figure.
In other testimony, a commercial fisherman and author said the spot in San Francisco Bay where Scott Peterson says he was fishing for sturgeon when his wife disappeared is not known for sturgeon. Angelo Cuanang also said the best way to catch sturgeon is with bait, but Peterson had only artificial lures.
In addition, the expert said, Peterson's rod and tackle box were rigged for freshwater fishing.
