The denial of a beer and wine license to a Northwest Florida restaurant has sparked debate on alcohol sales.
Blue Moon restaurant owners’ H.L. Tucker and Kathryn Evans went before the Holmes County Commission Wednesday.
They’ve tried for months to get the board to hold a public hearing on their request to sell beer and wine.
The restaurant is located in the Pittman Community, just south of the Geneva County line. Geneva is a dry county.
The commission did not take action on scheduling a public hearing.
The restaurant owners plan to appeal that decision with state officials.
