POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating a triple homicide at a home in Powder Springs in west Cobb County.
Powder Springs Detective Kelly Gobely said this morning that three were found dead and two juvenile boys were found unconscious.
The dead were a mother and two daughters, one an adult. One of the
two boys was the mother's son.
Gobely said "I don't have their manner of death. I know the medical examiner's office is here. We will have to wait for them to give us word."
She said one of the boys was transported by helicopter and the other by ground transportation to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. She said there was no word on their condition.
Gobely said nobody who lived in the house was unaccounted for.
Gobely said a relative found the bodies this morning in the comfortable home in the suburb about half an hour west of Atlanta and called nine-one-one just before 9 am.
Police and neighbors described it as a quiet neighborhood. Jermaine Goddard, a 16-year-old neighbor who said he was a classmate of one the girls who lived in the home, said he was shocked by the crime.
