Wednesday, 95 area business representatives packed the conference room of the United Way Headquarters to 'get fired up' and raise money.
Funds collected for the campaign get distributed to 37 area agencies around the Wiregrass.
Every year, the Wiregrass United Way meets its goal, but Executive Director Walter Hill says this year presents a challenge.
"We have several challenges, this year specifically. One is WestPoint closing in Abbeville. They've been tremendous supporters of ours. That's over $20,000 we won't have. And obviously in Enterprise there was a challenge after the tornado, there was so much money there and I hope that doesn't affect the campaign," Hill said.
The fundraising goal will be released September 6th.
