WASHINGTON (AP) - House Democrats say they are on track for a Sunday vote on a $940 billion health care bill that will expand coverage to millions.

The Number 2 Democrat in the House said the health care package will also reduce the federal deficit by more than $100 billion over its first 10 years - and more than $1 trillion in the second decade.

Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland said the legislation will deliver the biggest reduction in the federal deficit since the 1990s, while providing access to health care coverage for nearly all Americans and prohibiting insurance companies from denying coverage to the sick.
