Leaders in the bio-fuel industry from across Alabama and the nation got together today at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center to talk about alternative fuels.
The workshop is designed to help the public make informed decisions and facilitate transitions to alternative fuels.
It's all an effort to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
"All of these fuels are cleaner burning, so there are fewer emissions for the public, and that benefits the environment in that way. It also helps the economy because all these fuels are produced domestically" said Phillip Wiedmeyer, Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition
This was the first time a workshop was held in Dothan.
The Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition plans on driving a car with alternative fuel down Route 66.
