A new anti-viral tissue is nothing to sneeze at.
Kleenex will soon sell a tissue that kills viruses. Texas-based Kimberly-Clark announced Friday the new Kleenex will be on store shelves in time for the next cold and flu season.
Kleenex Anti-Viral will have no benefit for the sneezer, but the company says it should help stop the spread of cold-causing viruses. But germ-killing products, from soaps to hand gels, are controversial. The American Medical Association has expressed concern widespread use could help spawn strains of resistant bacteria.
An AMA trustee, Dr. Ron Davis, says he has the same concern about anti-viral Kleenex.
