There could soon be another park in Dothan, but city commissioners want the public's input before they make a decision.
During the commissions’ regular meeting next Tuesday, residents can give their opinion on a park which is expected to be constructed about a half-mile outside honeysuckle road near Fortner Street.
The hearing will be held Dothan city commission chambers beginning at 10 am.
The park will be on a little more than 157-acres with an estimated cost of 2-and-a-half million dollars.
Location and acquisition of a southwest park property was part of the Dothan Leisure Services' capital projects presentation made to the Dothan city commission on July 17th.
Phase one would include the development of a master plan for a southwest park at the estimated cost of $100,000 and the construction of a 2 million dollar youth athletic complex.
