All week, young golfers have been teeing off in Dothan as part of the Future Masters Tournament.
Local tourism officials say that means a big economic boost for area businesses.
The tournament brings 620 players to town with their families and spectators. It is estimated that they will spend $1.7-million.
Dothan’s Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Bob Hendrix says each visitor will spend an average of $75 a day over and beyond lodging.
