The Dothan Botanical Gardens have officially broken ground on a new building.

The Dothan Botanical Gardens have officially broken ground on a new building.
The center will house classrooms, a gift shop and meeting rooms that can be used for conferences and wedding receptions.
"We're excited about the classroom, about the educational opportunities that it's gonna provide. Visiting lecturers, local professors, teachers can bring their classes out here," said Miles Coleman, President of Dothan Botanical Gardens.
So far the gardens have raise $700,000 of the projected million dollar construction cost through contribution or pledges.
