Alabama State Troopers say an e-mail circulating the internet contains some false statements.
The e-mail says troopers will be maintaining a "Zero-Tolerance Rule" on speeding and other violations.
The letter from the Alabama Administrative Director of Courts Callie Dietz says troopers will ticket drivers going one-mile over the speed limit.
State Trooper Public Relations spokesman Corporal Tracy Nelson says they will be stepping up patrols the week of August 13th-throught the 18th, but they won't be ticketing for 1 mile over the speed limit.
There will be a news conference Thursday morning in Montgomery with Colonel Christopher Murphy.
We'll have the latest from that news conference on the upcoming public safety campaign.
