PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - A Pensacola man is charged with making false 911 calls.
Authorities say Cheveon Ford made almost 300 calls since the beginning of this month.
He was arrested Tuesday.
Authorities say the 21-year-old told deputies he made the calls because he didn't have any minutes on his phone and that 911 is a free call.
Authorities used global positioning coordinates to track the phone.
Ford was being yesterday on $50,000 bond at the Escambia County Jail.
