An Ozark man is in jail in connection with a string of store burglaries in Dale County.
Thirty-seven-year-old Curtis Lamar Hunter is in custody on charges of receiving stolen property and third degree burglary.
The burglaries began last Monday at the Stop and Go Convenience Store on South Union Avenue in Ozark. The store's clerk says the suspect entered through the roof.
Last Tuesday morning someone broke in through the air conditioner vent at Little Al's on North Union Avenue and Roy Parker Road.
Officials say a 3rd target was Collier's Store on Highway 231 North. The person or persons entered through the roof and back door.
Ozark police say the last break-in occurred at Dykes Grocery in Ewell. The burglar stole cigarettes, beer and assorted food products from all of the stores.
In all cases the stores were closed and no one was hurt. Authorities say they've recovered most of the stolen products. Officials believe there is one other person involved and they are working to find that suspect.
